Eric Cantor is either anorectic,
has had bad plastic surgery, or just plain weird-looking.

He's on Morning Joe-without-Joe this A.M.

He has the strangest connection between his lower muscles of facial expression and the rest of his face. This seems to have changed over the last few years.

I know: ugly is as ugly does or something to that effect...

1. Pretty smart guy, but alas, he's working for the bad guys.
Shame on Congressman Cantor. He's smart enough to know better.

4. Seems empty-headed to me, not smart. Talks all around an issue...
...and says nothing.

5. Peter or should I say, Cantor Principal In Action
There are many times I see him just mailing it in...saying the talking points and it looks like he has to jump start himself into believing it. But it's the price you pay to be a big fish in a fetid pond. He know his road to fame and power is faster and easier this way than being either inellecutally or politically honest. With the void of any "talent" in the GOOP, he's one of the few new leaders they've come up with in the past decade.

6. KharmaTrain.
For some while now I've been reading and thoroughly enjoying your posts on this site.

I like the high-voltage brain power you bring to things and I love the poetry of your language as well.

Thank you for that.

As for Cantor, I'm hoping he can one of these days have a lightbulb moment. He certainly needs one.

8. Thank You So Kindly...
I'm from the "old school" that thinks the fun of a discussion board is actually to discuss. Thanks to folks like you and many others here on DU, that does happen more often than not.

Cantor definately has stars in his eyes...he's dreaming big and principals mean little when ego takes hold. More often than not, that ego leads to a downfall...especially when you're in a hurry to get places.

He'll see the light only after he's busted...and then only if it suits his need to "rebuild" an image. I see him hovering over Boner like a vulture. It's his only ticket as he doesn't stand a chance to move up to the Senate or anywhere else anytime soon.

Cheers..

:toast:

11. "(H)overing over Boner like a vulture." My god that is a splendid passage.
Agree with you on Cantor. The pretty mermaids are singing and he's steering the ship their way forgetting the razor-sharp rocks below. His brain knows better than to listen but his ego hears only the sweet melodies...

So maybe it's a winning strategy.

He conned his way into the asylum and thinks he's smarter than everyone. Give him time...he's ambition will get the best of him.

9. He seems quite morbid to me
this seems like a person who has never known joy
and would be happy enough if no one else knew joy either.
Inhuman and humorless. No spark. No compassion.
Meh.

Mitch's face is eerily smooth, glistenty and white, really pasty white.

17. It's a sign of how low the GOP has sunk that this brainless, charisma-less,
and personality-less sad sack has become the new face of the party. Not only has this guy got nothing to say but he has a style of speaking that more or less guarantees that nobody will listen to the nothing he has to say. He's about as empty and hollow as bush although maybe a few steps up on the evolutionary scale.

24. People in Northern Virginia barely know who this guy is
Unless you're part of the 2% or so here who find the new Republican Party appealing.

I'm just amazed that they picked this guy for such a prominent role. His power and influence in his
home state extends to the border of his district. Those beyond don't know much about him and wouldn't
care if they did, other than to find him very odd.

They're scraping the bottom of the barrel.
