1. If the Bush disaster had not occurred, Obama would never have been elected.
And he would never have been able to make the needed
reforms.

All had to be destroyed in order to rebuild for the 21st century.

11. The Reagan/Reagan/Bush/Bush/ Clinton/Gore/Kerry/Bush/Bush disaster is not over
and Obama appears to be hobbled in many regards by the continuing influence.

12. Hobbled by not cowed. He will succeed.
Obama is taking the power away from the sociopaths who ruled this country.

Obama is ruthless as he fights evil.

13. He will succeed as much as he is allowed to
by the sociopaths who still rule this country.

I love your message and will believe it when we see it.

So far, much of the Old Boss has been continued and replicated with a new administration.

14. Their power is going. Obama takes the reins step by step.
The rogue government does not rule like they did.
That is why they are so noisy and angry now.

3. If all of that would be a big "if" it would have some validity
to your question. However, all of the that happened because it was planned. I am not a conspiracy theorist, but the war in iraq and afghanistan happened to make lots of people wealthier than what they were. Beginning with Bush's "wining" the elections in 2000, all of this was a well thought out plan.

Let's all not continue dreaming thinking about ifs and buts.. all these events happened because it was masterminded by wealthy and close group of people to seek power and money.

15. Please don't remove the original message!
Your thread is still floating around now, but makes little sense because the first part is missing.

If you want unconditional agreement and love on your politics, you'll have to become a Republican. :bounce:

Everyone gets flamed from people here. Some are just touchy, some are really jerks, but most people here are great! I try to let the small stuff fade away and for the really big jerks - there's an ignore feature.

5. It would be nice if all of that had happened, but it didn't.
And we need to keep in mind that many of the same people who were there for all those things are still in positions to make decisions and influence the direction of our country going forward.

Barack Obama has been a good thing so far, but until we truly clean house and get the crooks out of office and put an end to corruption, it will be an uphill battle.

Consider: Sen. Baucus is heading up the committee to look into health care. And he's indebted to the powers that be in health care right now due to their campaign donations. This is a conflict of interest. SOMEONE in authority should make this man STEP DOWN. And if we can't find someone in Congress that doesn't have connections to the health care industry, well...you can see the problem.

Congress is supposed to be working for the American people, not the American corporations. And that isn't happening. That's why the American people can't get legislation passed to protect them from usury, foreclosure, or anything else, but we can throw $8 billion at Chrysler for it to just write off in its bankruptcy. How many Americans would that $8 billion help?

We must change the status quo, or things will never be good. Barack promised us change, and he's bringing it, but it must be much wider and much deeper or we're doomed to more of the same.
