My thoughts are that Phelps has homosexual tendencies and has never come to grips with them. He has self-loathing and projects this hatred onto God. I have been to several different church denominations and have NEVER attended a service with a message of such hatred and venom as Phelps preaches. He is a sick individual, that's for sure.
