2. The author is incorrect. It is Not checked by default.

This discussion has been going on for a while. I've looked on new Macs and after installing OS X on systems.

It's never checked by default. You have to do it yourself.

Now that being said, I'd look and see anyway.

If there is a setting that should NEVER be the default, you can bet Microsoft will MAKE it the default.

Apple usually doesn't fuck up like that.
