Poll question: Cheating Spouse: Would you want to know?
Let's turn the tables....If your spouse or SO was cheating on you, would you want your friend to tell you?

1. No.
I would rather the "cheating spouse" tell me, or find out on my own.

23. Hey!
:hi:  It will take me a while to learn all the new names, and associate them with my memories of conversations past. Yes, I am studying AND traveling to places like this (left the USA before the semester ended :D ):

9. I agree with you. At some level the person being cheated on has some idea.
I would feel that the person telling me has an ulterior motive. Plus, the cheater can always say that the person who told you is a liar. Until that person comes clean the lie will go on.

3. It would be difficult, but for me...
I'd feel betrayed by my friend if he/she didn't tell me. I've actually been in this situation and it sucks for everyone. Cheating causes a lot of people pain.

5. Not the ideal way to find out, but yes....
It's something that should be known ASAP for the benefit of all involved.

13. I would want to know because it's better to be living in reality
than in an illusion. I would be able to deal with the reality, but living in an illusion is living a lie. When you live a lie, when you live on false assumptions, you cannot make the right decisions.

18. No. Trusting my wife is something I choose to do.
Which is a helluva lot easier then fretting about her trustworthiness. And, I've always figured that if she was "cheating" what possible good would it do me to know about it?

19. IF it was a one time "oops!" - no. If it was a steady affair yes.
.
.
.

even if it was an "oops" every now and then, - no

but again, if it was an "affair" as opposed to a one timer thing

I would wanna know.

20. No. If my man was running around on me, I'm sure I'd sense something was up pretty quickly,

and I would want to set the time and place for addressing it with him according to my timetable. I don't need some busybody butting in and forcing the issue "for my own good".
