The King Snake that hangs around these parts showed up again. Haven't seen it in a couple of years. The Bluebirds keep me entertained. The beans, peas, tomatoes, and others in my veggie garden look great. My cats are fat and happy. Obama is still President. The republican train wreck is still laying in the ditch. Time to drink a few beers.

Earlier this evening my Sweetie and I and her dad sat on the carport on this perfectly temperate evening and watched the deer creep up on the pan full of corn we set out for them.

Then, the old man went looking for the moon, and in his senior state of mind, lost track of where it should be. When I joined him and showed him the orange orb glowing just above the treetops he thanked me in a very deep and serious way for showing it to him.

We are moon lovers around here.

The spirituality of a forest lit by moonlight is intoxicating and indescribable.

Think I'll go outside and howl.

23. I went out a little earlier to see the moon

Scared off a small herd of deer grazing below the house. They woke up some of the birds who started twittering. Lightning bugs are out! :) So are the mosquitoes. :(

I may open a window so I can hear the barred owls share their gossip. They've been very talkative recently.
