How many Fox News talking points can you spot in this LTTE?
From my local rag, which often prints letters from the local Freeper. Just so there's no confusion, everything after this sentence is from the letter, and is NOT my words or opinion (except maybe the bit about Sestak).

"Today we read in these pages that Sen. "Benedict" Arlen defected from the Republican Party because he "decided to leave the purification movement of the extremists behind," whatever that means.

These "extremists" elected him to several Senate terms, but when the political winds told him that his duplicity was catching up with him, he jumped ship to preserve his skin. His vote on the stimulus pork was only the last nail in the coffin. His lack of conviction is not lost on his new Democrat constituents and he will be lucky to win their primary's nomination.

Good riddance, Specter. Here's wishing Sestak and Toomey success in their respective primaries. Either one is preferable to you."

1. Other than the use of the term "Democrat constituents" I pretty much agree..
Specter did jump ship to save his own skin, he said so in unequivocal terms.

2. Me too.
I don't like Fox "News" talking points either, but this letter seems to paraphrase Specter himself. Where is the outrageous bit?

3. Is there something in the letter you disagree with?

4. Wouldn't you have to
watch Fox News in the first place in order to be familiar with their talking points?

Why would any sane person be doing that?
