Not a flattering question in these serious times. wonder if they are trying to imply that Obama is a buffoon. Wonder if they asked this when Bush was in office. A better question would be "Do you like your president to have a sense of humor?"

Bottom line, it takes some brains to deliver zingers with aplomb and make people laugh at them. And -- believe it or not -- it was one of the rhetorical devices that Bush was least incompetent with. One doubts whether Bush ever wrote a zinger himself (while the presumption is that Obama writes much of his own material), but Bush wasn't entirely hopeless in delivery, unlike when attempting to articulate serious or aspirational topics.
