The idea is to build houses to sell at a profit.

instead of sitting on houses that cannot be sold and would sit empty and rotting they are tearing them down and will sell the land to new developers in order to make some of their money back.

How many people here have houses on your street/neighborhood for sale/foreclosed?
We know the market is extremely slow now.

What if the banks decided to tear down those houses next to you?

This all started when Ca. passed a law requiring banks to maintain the yards and homes.
Other states have copied that law.
