Roland Burris and Mark Begich. |
|
A very solid liberal voting record from these two so far. They've been with us on every major liberal issue so far. They voted for capping credit card interest rates today, two of the 30 Democrats to do so.
We haven't been paying much attention to these guys, but they've been very solid so far.

1. Roland Burris is a dead man walking. |
|
If he is foolish enough to run for a full term, he will be crushed in the Democratic primary.

2. No way Burris is nominated |
|
and if he is, the seat goes to the GOP.
No way will Illinois send Burris back to the Senate after his connection to Blago.

3. I'd say you are right. |

But that doesn't mean we can't appreciate Roland Burris' record in the Senate so far. He's been a very solid liberal vote so far.

5. Appreciate it all you want, he's dooming the seat to the GOP |
|
if he continues on his chosen course to seek the seat next year.
I have no respect for the man. I lost the last bit of respect I had for him when it was revealed that he committed perjury in his Illinois state legislature testimony.

But he's been a good friend, so far, in the Senate.
