1. As long as Nancy spars with CIA, we lose. She has to go back to
the psychopath and nail him.

3. I think they're scum. But most people don't.
I don't see how she can take the whole institution on, on her own.

8. Malcolm X
used to say, "Don't strike at the puppet, go for the puppeteer." In this case, keeping the focus on Cheney is essential. That may include exposing the role of a few people in the intelligence agencies, etc. But it all leads back to the OVP.

11. Agreed. And iirc, a number of CIA professionals left the agency
first in protest of Cheney's pre-war manipulations and then again when Porter Goss arrived to finish off what was left of the agency's independence from the White House. Those people are somewhere.

The focus has to remain on Cheney and on the Republicans who are supporting him by repeating his talking points. Going after CIA is like trying to grab running water. And especially now that Panetta is in place. Going after him can only do harm to the Democrats, imo, which is what Cheney wants in the first place.

4. Small problem
"people who torture" vs. "politicians"... one group lies for a living. Credibility is no ground for a politician to stand on.

10. They've admitted torture. You're accusing her of lying.
So it's admitted torturers accusing the speakerof the house of lying. They lose.

6. I am still trying to figure out how the reich-wing got us into this position
The Main $tream Media is making it look like Nancy Pelosi is guilty of some heinous crime.

Why is the American People wasting their time going after Nancy Pelosi when it was Bush / Cheney who tortured prisoners? Where was this vigor for justice when Bush was actually breaking the law?

I don't get it. We hold the House, the Senate, the Executive Branch and still we let a few punk Republicans with their helpers in the M$M focus the National attention on weather a member of Congress was in attendance of a briefing.

Bush and Cheney need to go to jail and those idiot Republicans in Congress need to be utterly crushed.

12. Why would Pannetta lie? He has nothing to gain, and Pelosi is clearly trying to duck any
responsibility she should have.

Its not just the CIA, but Pannetta, a major Democrat, is the one who called Pelosi out. Also he would not have done it without concurrence from the white House.

This is more than just who knew what when.
