Republicans are now requiring IQ tests for membership.
If your IQ is over 80, you are denied membership.

3. Too cruel??? more like too high
The number is much closer to 60 (constant drooling, loss of simple cognitive functions, etc).

10. The Republican party as a whole has been one big IQ selection scheme..
When you select as strongly as possible for pure distilled essence of omphaloskeptic cretinism, that's what you are eventually going to get. No offense intended to actual omphaloskeptics.

11. To me, it's more a matter of ignorance than a lack of intelligence per se.
Even "smart" people can be taken in by the likes of Hannity if they have an authoritarian orientation combined with toxic religiosity and an unwillingness to seek out both sides of an issue.

If I believed every single word Hannity says (as these emotional cripples apparently do) I would hate Obama and all liberals too. Since I am able to recognize lies and misleading rhetoric when I hear them, I end up hating Hannity instead. But that's me. Wingnuts are different. They know not what they do.

13. Ignorance II
Gregory Bateson used the term Learning II, learning to learn. My father coined the phrase Ignorance II, learning not to learn. Intransigence is counter to intelligence. Intelligence isn't about not being wrong, it's not staying wrong in the light of the facts.

There are smart republicans, but their intelligence is stunted and shrinking as they deny their failures and the evidence of those failures.

12. I suspect that the average IQ of both parties went down...
when I switched from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party a few years ago.
