"Love Land" - China's new sex theme park causing a stir

China is still putting the finishing touches on Love Land, the country's first sex theme park, but already the giant revolving model of a woman's legs and lower torso, outfitted in a red thong, is raising eyebrows, the China Daily reports.

When it opens in October, the park will feature naked human sculptures, giant replicas of genitals and an exhibition about the history of sex and sexual practices in other countries, the state newspaper says.

But some residents of the southwest city of Chongqing are already calling the park "vulgar" and inappropriate.


But park manager Lu Xiaoqing, who says he was inspired by a popular South Korean sex theme park, tells the paper it will improve sex education and help adults enjoy a harmonious sex life.

"We are building the park for the good of the public," Lu says. "I have found that the majority of people support my idea, but I have to pay attention and not make the park look vulgar and nasty."
