Keep it simple, DU.

1. voted no.
while i doubt they got everything right, the 9/11 conspiracy theories just don't seem probable to me. sex starved nutjobs hijacking planes because we have maintained a presence in their area for 50 plus years to protect our access to the oil under their soil makes more sense.

i disliked the bush administration intensely, but that bungler couldn't maintain a coverup to save his ass. i'm supposed to believe that they orchestrated 9/11 and then forgot to plant WMDs in iraq to justify the initial reason to go to war? does not compute.

2. And how does it compute that guys who were only capable of car bombs
and damaging the USS Cole using a dingy and two suicide bombers suddenly are capable of pulling off a well orchestrated attack like 9/11? That seems like quite a leap to me.

5. no more of a leap than believing the bumbling bushies..
pulled off the greatest false flag attack in modern history. and then managed to keep it a secret. and then forgot to find WMDs.

if it turns out i'm wrong, i'll be the first to admit it.

3. The 9/11 Commission and Torture
Edited on Sun May-17-09 12:05 PM by Snazzy
From Newsweek:

{I}t is a distinct possibility that Al Qaeda suspects who were the exclusive source of information for long passages of the commission's report may have been subjected to "enhanced" interrogation techniques, or at least threatened with them, because of the 9/11 Commission.

...

An analysis by NBC News found that more than a quarter of the report's footnotes—441 of some 1,700—referred to detainees who were subjected to the CIA's "enhanced" interrogation program, including the trio who were waterboarded.

4. My question is simply:
If you determine that you won't hold any individual responsible for something before you investigate, then why bother investigating?

Spend the money on NASA.
