for a 'Truth Commission'? Work with me here. If the Repugs know that BushCo really brought down their party - but are worried about the Bush Evil Empire or being blackmailed by BushCo - do you think that the Pelosi diversion provides them a reason to support a 'Truth Commission' knowing full well that BushCo will be implicated in the process - but it won't look like they did it to get BushCo. Am I making any sense here?
Seems to me with Pelosi brought into this - the call for a "Truth Commission" can be a bipartisan effort. It leaves the Repugs off the hook because it makes it look like they are doing it to get Pelosi. It leaves Obama off the hook because it will be a bipartisan call to have a 'Truth Commission'. Once there is a 'Truth Commission' everyone lets the chips fall where they may and they all know that the chips will fall all over BushCo and bring down the likes of W, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Rice, etc, etc, etc.
I see a 'Truth Commission' as being inevitable now. The only reason is that both sides are moving in the direction of calling for it.
I don't think the Repugs really like the idea of Cheney being out there everyday - looking like a poster boy for the Repug Party. Though today - I think the Repug talking point was that they didn't mind Cheney being out there.
Can this country be any more screwed up?
