1. BS!
I wonder if many of these prisoners could survive in a US prison? Muller is parroting the GOP line on this. Oh my! We can't let them in our country or the terrorists might bomb the states they are imprisoned in? Bunch of baloney.

5. If in the USA, they would have to be granted the rights of human beings!

That was the problem Bush had with this idea.

2. The man is on drugs
And he's not sharing.

And what exactly do groups like the Aryan Brotherhood or MS-13 do in the prisons now, have tea socials???

Mueller needs to go, he's just another Bushbot that should have been canned on 1/20/09.

3. They're worried that the truth...
...will come out about these prisoners.

One--that we'll find out how they were tortured and how they were treated so inhumanely.

Two--that we'll find out that most of these people have no hard evidence against them, but they
were still detained for several years without being charged with a crime.

Three--If these prisoners interact with others in this country--the government will no longer
be able to reduce them to insects and horrible people who deserve to be treated inhumanely. The
neocons want us to view Muslims as objects--horrible, detestable people. The truth is, they
are good and decent people and most of what the neocons has sold us, has been a bag of lies.

The neocons must keep these people--and their bizarre, hateful propaganda campaign intact. They
can't do that unless they control the messaging and the lies. All of that falls apart if these
prisoners are no longer under their control.

The truth seeps out--and the neocons can't have that.

8. That's exactly the underlying concern.
They know that the prisoners would be secure in US prisons...but they'd no longer be able to hold them incommunicado. The real story will be exposed: that these people were Ptomekin terrorists who provided Bush-Cheney with a prop to sell the GWOT.

4. Why are Republicans insulting our federal corrections workers?
Don't they think they are up to the job? If not, why aren't they upset that Americans are at risk from dangerous criminals being held in prison now?

Or something like that. That might work as a response.

7. I don't know. Last night I saw a clip of a prisoner who admitted he
cut the brain out of his victim and took a bite out of it!

We already have "the worst of the worst" in our max security prisons. I've been asking what we're afraid of in housing any of the detainees, and haven't gotten a decent answer yet!

9. Well you see ouir prisoners are very well behaved and
never, EVAH get radicalized by furiegners, just our locals... (insert religious radical group here, they include Muslims and Christians... for some reason the other revelatory religion really does not play that game, and I know why)

These people are full of excuses because the national security state has barked.

marked my words Guantamo will NOT be closed and some torture will continue ahem on the side.
