Conservatives Re-Writing History: WE NEED MORE WIKIPEDIA EDITORS
On Oct. 2, 2008, the Wikipedia entry on Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson disclosed that he was Chairman of Goldman Sachs during the period for which it was investigated for fraudulent activity by Elliott Spitzer.

As of 10-15-08, the info had been edited . . . no longer any mention of investigation of Spitzer's investigation of wrongdoing under Paulson's management of Goldman Sachs; instead, it said, "Paulson led government efforts to avoid a severe economic slowdown."

I assumed someone would correct it back. So far, hasn't happened.

I'm worried that there's an army on the other side, re-writing history.

And records like Wiki are part of that, one of the reasons many non central information repositories are needed.

And it is good you are pointing this out, people need to know what you look up on wiki, or even other sources, when just stored in digital format, can be changed.

For important stuff, make copies and burn to DVD, then if it is changed let people know about it so the blow back can stop it from happening.

This is the current attempt. Things are being revealed, we now know that many democrats that said 'nothing could be done because they do not have a majority', were really not doing things because people that do not believe in getting things done, are in the party without having to make there affiliations known.

Those affiliations are being known, and people are figuring it out. There are many in office that like the structure of money taking care of office holders. Many just want to slide along, because standing up for what is right takes alot more then just taking a check. And many believe in Machiavelism, and believe in Aristocracy. They don't think the people should matter, or have an opinion.

On health care people say, 'don't they know they are going against what the public wants.' The thing is many don't care what the public wants, that is not their group. This includes many Democrats, and many in the media.

This is their gamble, do nothing and stall till people fall back asleep, and they can plug all the information people now have, by rewriting it. They literally are trying to out wait change. If they can keep nothing, or only minor things happening, they are counting on being able to put America back to sleep by full scale distraction and distortion on TV, and also on history rewrites.

We have seen some news blatantly lie repeatedly, this will lead to one of two things. Either people will start to believe the lies, then latter credibility of media can be repaired and things will go back to control of money. This is what they are betting on.

Or there credibility will lead to a cascade effect and failure of the entire information distribution system, and that wave will be ridden to secure media diversity and Internet information protection.

And It is up to how good the memories and the voices of the people are. And the choice of actions when people realize they are not listening to the voices. Right now people are speaking, but the shift will be when people realize some simply do not care what the people are saying, and this transitions into more activism to return to representative democracy.

2. Some wealthy think tank is probably paying someone to rewrite
the Wikipedia entries. The problem with Democrats is that we are middle class to poor people. We don't get paid to change Wikipedia entries. I'll bet you that the right is paying all kinds of people large sums of money to be there presence on the internet. I'm not paid. Are you?
