It's slowly sinking in that the Repub Party of NO won't ever work with Obama in a bipartisan way....
Lincoln tried to assemble a 'team of rivals' which would work together to accomplish good for the nation. His attempts failed.

I suspect Obama is trying to make the 'team of rivals' concept work where Lincoln failed.

But when you face rock solid opposition from Repubs as Obama has experienced thus far, you start to realize that time is your most precious commodity and opportunities slip by every time Repubs refuse to cooperate.

I hope Obama reaches that conclusion sooner than later, and Democrats begin pushing through the changes we so desperately need as a country. Let the 21% Repubs scream. People are dialed in on what action is coming out of Capitol Hill like never before, and they will ignore Repubs if Dems start getting things done.

2. I could have told him last year it wasn't worth trying. The last 8 years showed us what they think.

3. I tend to take a more optimistic view.
Party of NO = only appeals to party base = more disaffected Republicans = more Democrats.
