WTF?? Dick Cheney belongs in Jail, not on National TV following a speech by the President!!!
Edited on Thu May-21-09 11:38 AM by Pachamama
Sorry, but I am livid right now!!!! Its bad enough that our Nation and the world had to suffer because of this sick sadistic fearmongering criminal who enriched his coffers on the back of our country, its bad enough that the Obama administration and Justice Dept and Congress seem to be holding back and refusing to investigate his criminal activities against the CONSTITUTION and the PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES and hold him accountable and prosecute, but why the Fuck does this man get any airtime, any at all, to be on National TV on every channel, minutes following a very important speech by the President of the United States on issues of Gitmo, illegally held detainees and our National Security??? Why??? I want to know why??? Why isn't there discussion right now going on national tv about what President Obama said and they could always later in the day mention what that MOFO Cheney had to say in front of the Neo-con AEI?

I'm so fucking pissed off right now...thanks for the opportunity to rant and express myself because I am seriously angry and want to know why this happening.....This is fucked up....when are things going to correct themselves and the criminals brought to justice and told to STFU and be where they should be - in Jail - not on National TV with an audience of the American People to continue their fearmongering and lies. :grr:

Edited to add at 9:35PST: Double WTF???? Now MSNBC has the fucking spawn of that scumbag Dick Cheney on???? Now we have to listen to his daughter Liz Cheney defend her torture loving sadistic fearmongering father???? WTF??? Get these people to hell where they belong!!!! :grr: :puke:

Besides, it pretty much expresses how I felt earlier today.

Now I am just pissed off that the media are still calling The Dick "Vice President Cheney" - :wtf: we voted his ass OUT. At best he is "former VP Cheney" and he should be "Federal Prisoner #13567785467245 Cheney."

9. Whether Cheney scheduled first to speak to AEI or not, is irrelevant - why is Cheney given full
airtime on national tv? There are 100's of speeches given every day by past elected officials, whether it be President Clinton, Carter, even Bush's father....why are we having to listen to this MOFO on every channel? Why?????

Do you think Prez didn't chose the time and place BECAUSE he counted on the comparison. Our Prez wanted this.

The fact that President Obama spoke this morning about our National Security and that it shouldn't be comprised, but that our principles and Constitution never compromised to meet that goal, and then instead of important and thoughtful discussion about it, we are rushed along to have to listen to this sociopath Dick Cheney JUSTIFY AND REITERATE HIS SUPPORT OF TORTURE - SOMETHING ILLEGAL UNDER OUR CONSTITUTION!!!!

When is this man going to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity and our Constitution???? WHEN????

When msnbc went from 60 seconds of discussing the POTUS speech to cover the war criminal's speech, I changed channels to a re-run of Ru Paul's Drag Race.

I agree with you, and it is just one more day of idiocy from the media to give live coverage to cheney.

second comment on Obama's speech so we could hurry to hear what "The Vice President" had to say....I didn't realize they were talking about CHENEY!!! I kept thinking, "oh, Biden is up next with some important things to add"....and then they have fucking Dick Cheney on!!!! WTF???

And yes, Ru Paul's Drag Race sounds more relevant and critical to blood pressure....my blood pressure is off the charts right now.....

32. Why any news station would cover a war criminal's speech is beyond reason
I turned it back on when I got the all clear that cheney was done. MSNBC had pretty good analysis, until they threw coverage over to Chuck Todd. Now it's rw talking point time.

I've recently had to go on BP medication, my BP has been scary high. I seriously can't take most of what passes for news or journalism any longer.

19. It is incomprehensible and Dick Cheney is basically laughing in his face and getting to say on TV
to a National audience - Fuck you Obama, Fuck you America, Fuck you World - I'm Dick Cheney, I broke the law, I ordered the torture and murder of people, I'm fucking proud of it and would do it again and there aint' nobody going to do a thing about it and certainly not that terror loving President you elected Osama, I meen Obama.....

That's what is so surreal to me....that Cheney can even be allowed to do this and that Obama won't do a thing....

Cheney really must be the one still pulling the strings and being the man behind the curtain...although it looks like he doesn't even need the curtain anymore....

My question to Obama and the media is - "Is Cheney still scarying you and in control??? Because it certainly seems like he's the one with the power"

25. It is enraging. But that is what you get when the crooks own the stations.
And the country gets divided further by giving the voice of authority to those who think the past administration was doing the country good, and will not or can not hear what the new president is saying. Playing them off the people that listen to the new administration's ideas for security that think the recent past as disastrous.

Get people fighting and bickering amongst themselves and the corporate interests get to keep the tight-fisted grip on financials and government and warmongering. Entertainment for all while we are getting robbed and beaten silly in shameful fashion.

Yes he does. What it is going to take to bring about the prosecution of the criminals is beyond me. I don't know why investigations and prosecutions are not already underway, I guess it's just not seen as "politically expedient" to do so. Screw politics, this isn't about politics, it's about right and wrong. There are shades of grey in a whole lot of areas, but not here. This is black and white, cut and dried and it's high time to bring the criminals to justice. No excuses! :grr:

37. Conyers 2007: afraid of the media spin in impeachment.
AMY GOODMAN: Why stop short of hearings on impeachment?

REP. JOHN CONYERS: Well, because, unless we’re going to impeach the Vice President and the President within this space of time, I think we could be very seriously compromising the greatest important—most important thing, in addition to documenting any misdeeds that may have happened, whether we continue to have Bush enablers continue to shatter and tear the Constitution to shreds. And so, all of this, academically, is great. I’ve got a number of books from my friends about which articles would be best and which ones we should go after more. But it seems to me that the time element and also the feasibility of whether or not there is any possible chance of success—there is a very stark reality that with the corporatization of the media, we could end up with turning people who should be documented in history as making many profound errors and violating the Constitution from villains into victims. And those are the kinds of considerations that have entered my mind in thinking about this process, Amy
