Robotic collection agency calls... |
|
I had a couple of messages in my voice mail from some robot saying something about debt collection and giving a number to call and a long number to reference.
Needless to say...I don't respond to robots what do not identify what company they work with.
I called one back once and was asked to divulge information that I felt was personal and if they wanted it they needed to ask in writing.

Make them tell you who they are trying to contact. Tell them the person doesn't live there and you don't know them. Then tell them you will file a complaint with your state attorney general for unfair collections practices if they contact you again.

If they aren't doing robocall-identity-theft already, it is only a matter of time.
