Let them attack an impeccable judge who is not only a woman (sorely needed on the court) but also the first Latino nominated to the court (also sorely needed on the court). I think Latino groups will sorely remember this in 2010 and 2012 providing another nail in the coffin of the Republican party.

But yeah, first Hispanic nominee to the SCOTUS - the GOP is shooting themselves in the foot over the long term. They need to be courting the Latino vote to have any hope of winning elections outside of Deep Jesusland, and this won't help them.
