Sonia Sotomayor - She's Only 54!!
I like the thought that Obama will stack this Court with young and progressive minds....something the Repukes will not be able to undo for many, many years.

2. If only we "lost" one of the RW ideologues
currently infesting the building I'd be really happy. Shrubbo did one thing right, he picked young corporate toadies (Roberts and Alito) that will likely be there for many many years.

I love the fact that Obama picked a young and bright person to counteract the stench coming off many of the rulings.

3. Obama Will Have the Opportunity to Appoint At Least One More Justice
And perhaps a third and even a fourth.

The Republican nosedive couldn't have been timed any better.

4. I'm pretty certain he'll be selecting replacements
for one or two of the older members. The only one that I see really having the possibility of changing the face of the court would be if Justice Kennedy were to step down and that would only be a marginal shift.

My real hope is that either off the RW "older" tools Thomas or Scalia decides to find greener pastures on the speaking circuit. That would be a seismic shift and would be fantastic theater in the Senate.

8. Is it true that she's a diabetic?
Type I or II? I'm not disparaging her qualifications. My sister has had Type I diabetes for over 30 years. It's nasty.
