| surge update - Deaths in Iraq car-bomb attack |

At least four civilians and an American soldier have been killed and 15 injured after a car bomb exploded in Abu Gharib, a western district of Baghdad, the Iraqi capital.
US military officials said the soldier died after suffering wounds as a result of Wednesday's explosion. The attack, which happened near a medical compound, occurred two days after a bomb hit a US convoy in Baghdad, killing three US soldiers and two civilians.  http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/2009/05/2009527134721715151.html |
