and now we think that allowing that great citizenry to diminish is somehow a good thing?....

not to disparage the Hispanic population or the black population but at this time there is so much dysfunction and crime in those groups, how can they govern?....how can they lead?...the answer is they can't.....

the fancy schmancy limosine liberals will rue the day that the citizenry leaves the European AngloSaxon value system that built America behind...

do they really think they can live behind their gated communities forever?....do they really think their children or grandchildren will never be affected?

that those sentiments are MUCH more pervasive than we'd like to believe.

While the Palin mobs are the core group (and the white supremists who weren't part of that mob), there are many people who are closet racists. Even worse are those who don't realize they ARE racist; they are extremely insecure and feel lost (sorry to say, in my experience this is often white males over 40...the world has shifted tremendously for them) -- and the Rush/Faux crowd feed into this fear and insecurity and make it much more about "us versus them."

It is frightening! They group together to try to stick their heads in the sand and pretend that all is well within their tribe, but these other people out there are bad and will corrupt them. I was listening to a local sports call-in show last night and it ended up at one point being one angry red-neck talking to the commiserating host about the terror of this "woman" who said she could be a better judge than a white guy because she is a female hispanic person. The fear was palpable. These people can think of nothing else but the Republican talking points of the day!
