http://www.chicagogasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx

what's happening where you live.....

the one ''good'' thing (for me) is that I paid 33 cents/gallon less for my diesel today than the average price/gal of unleaded regular

11. What exactly
do you suggest they do to stop it? Even if they could ban it in this country (not very realistic), it would still go on somewhere else our government can't control, or just in cyberspace. If people used less gas, the cost to them would go down.

14. people are using less gas..
in fact, lots of folks don't even get up in the morning and drive to work because they don't have jobs. but it's simple supply and demand, really. you see, supplies are up while the demand is down, so we're only getting fucked in the ass, rather than the skull fucking we endured last go-round.

8. too interested in Sotomayor's racism, Pelosi's lies, the family with all the kids, AMIdol,
scandal, bread and circuses

they don't want anyone to know what's really happening with the economy/environment/important aspects of government (like who owns it)

That's about 50 cents more than the beginning of the month. At least I don't have a home-heating bill at the moment.

16. I have been seeing a slew of bikes in recent weeks...

As a 4-season cyclist, it warms my heart. But I also felt that after the dip in gas in the fall that eventually it would come back up and people would get fed up. I would like people to ween off cars as much as possible for their errands and other short trips.
