my daughter graduated last night from HS...YEA...Robert Gates was the Keynote speaker

my daughter graduated last night from HS...YEA...Robert Gates was the Keynote speaker
when they were introducing him, they mentioned that he was appointed by w bush...no souond


when they mentioned that he was retained by Obama the arena errupted in applause.



all in all, he spoke for about 15 minutes, wasn't half bad and

I am now the parent of a High School graduate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. Sorry to burst your bubble there Taverner, but that light is just another train.
I have two kids out of high school, one in college ($$$$$$) and the other laid off since Dec. ($$$$$$$) It's just a different track.:hide:

3. turns out he was a graduate from her HS
so it was like him going back to his roots

5. Congratulations. And if you missed it, a few weeks ago, 60 minutes interviewed
Gates and I found it very illuminating and at moments touching! (strange, I know, but you'll see. His view on being SoD got me a little teary)
