The trouble with the Internets
President Obama tells a joke. A blog that is hostile to Obama picks up on the joke, twists, distorts and spins what Obama said. The people who read the blog, who are already hostile to Obama, automatically become outraged and start posting it on messages boards. Message board members who don't like Obama read it, and because they are prepositioned to believe anything negative about Obama, decide to "vent."

Meanwhile, all logic and reason is abandoned.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Just because something is posted on a blog or anywhere else on the internet doesn't make it true.

1. The Value of the Internets
Just as much as there will always be detractors, there will be blind loyalists ready to defend anything and everything.

It cuts both ways.

3. Nothing is perfect.

My general observation is that the Internets attack everybody that is remotely noticeable in the first place, the Internets likes to attack things, and people. On the other hand, anybody can play, it's not like the MSM where you only get heard if you please the owners. So it's a tradeoff, the bullshit level is very high, but on the other hand the censorship level is very low. So I think that's as "good as it gets".

On a positive note, this isn't the first, nor will it be the last time this has happened.

12. "Just because something is posted on a blog or anywhere else on the internet doesn't make it true."
Ironic that you would post that on the internets.
