Do you remember Sorry Everybody?
Edited on Fri May-29-09 09:55 PM by Fresh_Start
I'm feeling that we need another Sorry Everybody.

We believed that in taking over the Congress and White House we had overcome the corruption at our heart but apparently we are unable to deal with war crimes, torture and our own version of terrorism.

Its time for the world to hold the US leadership accountable because American's are unable to do so.

1. IMHO, Sorry Everybody was a failed initiative
I refuse to apologize to the rest of the world for something I didn't do. But if someone wants to march into the rich district of Dallas and haul George W. Bush off to the Hague, let me know so I can set up a lawn chair and watch.

6. Less failed than rally just a short life, IMHO
Still, it's a damn shame that we the people have to reach out to the world at large to say, "Sorry."
Yet, am glad to do it if it means the US connecting in real life for many who have been alienated by our government and leaders.

2. I'm not sorry
Do I agree with everything that's been done so far? No. Do I think things could be better? Sure.

Sorry? No.

4. I admire your conviction
but I'm not seeing any political will in the democratic party to hold the war criminals responsible.

I believe that the political process is broken. Somewhere along the way, loyal to party became more important than responsiblity to the citizenry.

5. It's a promise I made to myself.
I didn't want to pre-prejudice myself against what congress and Obama did/does in the first chunk of their twisted little dance. At the same time, I blatantly tout my sigline. Keeps me honest.

From the first time he ran for city council in Cleveland.

However, I haven't been able to vote for him in Congress since I moved in 2003.
