Hillary, lawyer first and foremost.
She has just said she wishes to "fulfill the promise of America."

Sorry, but I'm looking for a leader who fulfills the contract with America (the contract formerly known as the constitution) first and foremost.

She is making Ron Paul look better by the minute.

Flame away.

1. Hillary is all about Hillary. She always has been and she always will be.
Just another self-serving, self-absorbed politician, imo.

I really want some details as to how she's going to effect change without pandering to corporate America. I'm actually demanding that of all the candidates.

about him and reject about 97% of his stands.

How do we get him elected.

He has the same chance as the afore mentioned for the most part as neither tow the party line or the politically correct line.

10. What in the Sam Hill is wrong with saying that!??
I mean come on.

Look at my signature line.

What the people want is very simple - they want an America as good as its promise. - Barbara Jordan

I am not a Hillary supporter, but damn, I feel like I want to be just because of the over the top, nit-picking bullshit I read here.

13. Over the top?
Guess you have a point, a leader who places the good of the nation before their own is to much to ask for.

Rock star sycophants can probably tell a great leader from their choice of campaign slogans and sound tracks better than most of the people looking for substance.

If the sheople want cake, then let them...

If Hillary introduces impeachment proceedings from the mountains of evidence available to the world and upholds the duties of her office and the rule of law in her spare time I will have to reconsider my opinions.

If that is too much to ask of any hopeful then perhaps verifiable voting. Hell I'll take anything in the direction putting the government back under the control of the people who pay the bill.

16. Sorry, I didn't actually answer your question.
It's not about promises, they are made to be broken. Just ask any evangelical about how well that whole abortion thing went with bush and the republican majority.

Likewise the dems wont take the guns, they need the issue the same as the pugs need abortion.

What exactly is the promise?

Who made it?

When was it made?

What are the ramifications of not keeping this promise?

I want the leadership held to the same legal standards and consequences as any other citizen. No club FED. No special privileges. If you swore to uphold the constitution and are found to be not doing so, PRISON. good enough for a pot head who hurts nobody, good enough for a lying leader.

Would you continue to follow a liar into battle?

Uphold the constitution they (and I as a former service member) swore to uphold or go home in shame and let someone who is willing to do the damn job do it in obscurity and get it done!

accordingly. Hillary's no saint but she is neither a theif or a liar.

JFK, FDR, George Washington. Name a past president who was flawless. Then name a current candidate for president who is flawless.

Do you think finding an American who has not broken a solemn pledge to uphold the constitution is so impossible that all others should be graded on a sliding scale, perhaps of your choosing?

choice of the American people.

But, since you don't seem to have any particular candidate in mind at the moment, perhaps you should just keep on looking and get back to us.

25. The law is a noble profession.
It is not an insult to be an attorney, and it is ridiculous to attack Hillary Clinton for having the skills and education necessary to be one.

Perhaps if Bush had to face professors of law and a bar exam, he would not be so quick to spit on the law.

Everyone hates lawyers, until someone violates their rights and they need one.

Our country needs a lawyer.

31. The original 13th ammedment,
the one that disappeared during the Cival War, made it illegal for lawyers to hold public office, from what I have read. (I can't swear to that one but always found it interesting)

Since I have not heard of any lawyers being killed yet I guess that is rhetorical?

Edit: After holding a successful revolution, how do you find it reasonable to allow a lawyer accredited only by the former ruling entity to hold a degree of status?
