My latest letter to my senators.

Dear Senator (Cornyn & Hutichison):

In his latest bid for Monarchy Mr. Bush has used a recess appointment to install Sam Fox as ambassador to Belgium knowing that the senate would not approve him. Mr. Bush has used recess appointments more than any five other presidents to bypass the senate and have his Unitary Executive way. You and I both know that is not the purpose of recess appointments.

Last week Mr. Bush went on public record saying that congress has no role in waging war and must give him unbridled free reign to do as he pleases with our troops. He chastised congress for “going on vacation” the day before he left for Crawford.

The DOJ inserted a clause in the Patriot Act that bypassed senate approval of Federal Prosecutor appointees.

Citing Executive Privilege Mr. Bush has refused to provide information to congress on any number of requests and has dictated to congress under what conditions he would give permission for it to question his staff.

Using an unprecedented number of signing statements Mr. Bush has negated hundreds of laws duly and constitutionally passed by congress.

What good are you? What purpose do you serve?

2. 'Bout six months ago I sent one to Kay Bailey along the same lines.

I told her it would be my last letter to her because Bush had completely obviated her position as Senator and usurped all her power and that she had allowed him to do it. That was the only letter that got a real reply and not a form letter. Insipid and condescending but not a form letter.

3. I sent almost the exact same sentiment to my Senators.

I dare say you have better representation that I have. Mine are Inhofe and Coburn.

You just can't get any lower than the bottom of the pot, and they are definitely at the bottom. Perhaps they share that space with Cornyn and Hutchinson.

I share in your anger, and I know how you feel. I'm with ya.
