Any Kindle owners here? There's a book you should read...
It's called The God Wars, it's fiction, and it's about many of the issues we discuss here. I don't want to give away the plot in case you intend to read it so I won't say anything other than I wish everyone who thinks America can do no wrong and that the Iraq war was a necessary war would read it. The author's name is Sierra Philpin. It's too bad it's not available as a regular book, only an e-book, because I don't think very many people have Kindles.

1. Sounds cool... but it's too bad they don't release it wider...
I'd check it out if it was available for the iPhone. I ain't buying a Kindle anytime soon.

2. I think there is a Kindle ap for the iPhone.
Seems like I read that somewhere.

The last chapter in the book is nothing short of stunning. It's like years worth of DU posts went into it, or at least the feeling we pour into those posts.

3. Yeah, you're right. I'm putting it on my iPhone right now, actually.
I saw that they had an iPhone app so I got it and once it's synced, I'll check to see if that book is available for it.

thanks for the tip on what looks to be a pretty cool book.

5. Our posts crossed in cyberspace...
I hope you like the book as much I do. It's frustrating to find a book you love and then not know people who can read it. My kid and I are the only people I know who have Kindles. We're both totally hooked on ours and we were those kind of readers who like the look and feel and smell of physical books. It took about two seconds for us to change loyalties and fall in love with reading electronically.

6. Well, I just bought the ebook and it's downloading to my iPhone as I type.
I got the Kindle app and went and purchased the book. 99 cents! wow, that's great! Looking forward to reading it.

7. I can't get over what a bargain books are in the Kindle Store...
I have picked up a ton of free books, plus many for just $.80 or $.99. I feel like I'm splurging when I go all the way up to $1.99. Then there's the free delivery in 60 seconds or less. It's great.

9. Yeah, that is real cool.
a buck for a book. Nice. That's what I like about all this new tech. It's like Apple's iPhone app store... most apps are a dollar, but can go up to 10/20 dollars, but still, it's cheaper than buying print. Yeah, I totally dig it.

8. thanks for finding that for me...
I did download it and am starting to read the book.

I've been thinking about getting a Kindle for awhile now, but now, this is cool, I can get the same stuff on my iphone.

I think it would probably be a better reading experience on the Kindle though. I started reading it in the iPhone here and it's nice, but such a small screen.

anyway, I got it and can't wait to get into the story. thanks again!
