1. I don't think he should resign because of the affair.
But if it is shown she got the promotions and special favors because of the affair (and it looks like it) then he should.

5. He should resign. He's one big hypocrite.
He called for President Clinton to resign when he had his affair. Typical born-again.

6. I agree he is a huge hypocrite,
and if he wants to resign over that , yay! But not strong grounds to demand he resign. That's where the voters get discretion. But the meat is in the favors that may have been granted to the woman he as having the affair with, that could be grounds.

2. The top NV Republicans seem to have problems with women: if Ensign resigns,
Gov Gibbons will appoint his replacement. Everybody remembers Gibbons, right? He's the guy who cocktail waitress Chrissy Mazzeo says attacked her in October 2006, just before he was elected; she's filed a lawsuit against him
