How far back do the DU archives go?

DU switched over to this format then, I expect previous archives are out there somewhere.

5. You can't actually just go into the archives and browse around.

You have to use the advanced search function. You can search all the way back to July (I think) 2003. Prior to that was the "old" DU, that I think is on a completely different server. It's possible to access at least some of those threads, but no way to search them.
