S.C. Democratic Party calls for investigation

The Chairwoman of the South Carolina Democratic Party is calling on the state's General Assembly to investigate Gov. Mark Sanford's (R) recent actions to determine if he broke any laws.

Both the Attorney General and the State Law Enforcement Devision have so far declined to investigate the governor.

"During the past 10 days South Carolinians have been subjected to the greatest display of irresponsible behavior by an elected official in a hundred years," said Carol Fowler, the South Carolina Democratic Chairwoman.

"But in spite of 10 days of full national humiliation, South Carolinians still don't know the whole truth," Fowler continued. "Is Mark Sanford simply an irresponsible public official or guilty of something criminal?

as effective as spit on a forest fire. Now that she has made the obligatory noise, she should go make herself useful and find funds for a decent candidate for governor. The Rethugs in the state will do the necessary damage.
