This old vet had USS Enterprise on his hat and was shuffling along. His flag looks like its seen as much action as he has

5. It was a big turn out.

Not as large as 2005 but I would guess around 250,000. Wish I had more shots from when we were marching but my battery died.

WHO IS THIS VETERAN? DO YOU KNOW HIM? HE ATTENDED THE WASHINGTON PEACE MARCH ON JANUARY 27, 2006.

HE IS CARRYING A TATTERED FLAG WITH 48 STARS WHICH SOME HAVE SAID MUST BE MORE THAN 50 YEARS OLD.

WHAT IS HIS STORY? HOW CAN WE GET HIM TO SPEAK WITH US?

10. I wonder what the story is behind that last pic of the Veteran.

How far did he travel, How old is that flag, what is it's history, did he fight in previous wars, what was the catalyst that brought him to march in D.C., has he ever marched before?

The person with the wheelchair walked beside him. I'm not miltary so I'm not sure what they are called but he had several pins on his hat that looked like campaign ribbons. I didn't want to disturb him to ask his story.

My Dad & 3 uncles uncles were WWII vets. They all had momentos from where they were stationed and where they served.

The last photo is my favorite. He looks to be determined to protest on his own two feet. That's what I thought when I saw the wheel chair behind him. He appears to be someone I'd like to meet.

About the DU flag? Whose is that? Did someone from DU make it? I've seen pictures of it at other protests.
