Governor Sanford may turn out to be the most brilliant politician in America? Governor Sarah Palin has given him a second chance. How can they pursue him to resign and cheer on Sarah at the same time? After all, his only sin was unrequited love. Sarah's only sin was unrequited love for money.

Governor Sanford should thank Sarah Palin. She may have saved his political butt, at least for the time being. It will be difficult for the Republicans to kick him out of the Party and to continue worshiping Sarah Palin with the present frenzy. Otherwise, it will look like hypocrisy. Not that hypocrisy is anything new to the Republicans.

If Sarah Palin is now the "phoenix rising from the ashes", then Governor Sanford is the king beetle rising from the dung. We should not under-estimate the political possibilities of either. After all, they are Republicans.
