1. I've seen people who don't like it say they are going to unrec everything as their
little protest until Skinner gets rid of it.

4. Hmm, maybe they're onto something.
I tried to stay out of this. I've never even been to the Greatest page and I never recommend threads. But this whole unrecommend thing just seems kind of churlish.

20. It seems quite churlish to unrecommend LBN threads because you don't like the unrecommend feature.

15. If true, it's ok. The overall vote is what wins, not a small amount of poutrage vote....
That's why I support everybody being able to vote 'yes', 'no', or not vote at all - as each sees fit.

16. Seems like if this is the case
Skinner can tell if people are doing that. Seems to me he could put a stop to that behavior in a hurry.

23. That's my sense. Unrec is being used to express dislike of content, not the value of the story.

6. This is to make the news we don't like go away.
Chauncey Gardener, when confronted with a knife pulled out his television remote control to make the bad things go away.

This is a grand American tradition.

10. Because it's a DUPE? Person posting 2nd Kim story didn't even look down 6 posts.I'm annoyed -
Edited on Sun Jul-12-09 10:36 PM by lindisfarne
Talk about not understanding concepts - could the person really not see something posted an hour earlier?

I responded to the dupe. Now I'll move my response to the first.

Edit: Just added an Unrec to the duplicate. Which will be meaningless once the Mods clean up LBN.

11. People need to stop being lazy and look for the good stuff.
It's all still there, right where it's always been. This isn't FM radio where the hits come to you. Look for the good stuff for Christ's sake.

Or maybe the news wasn't worthy of the GP. IMO.
