Forty years ago, Jane Fonda visited North Vietnam and was photographed on an NVA anti-aircraft gun. Wingnuts are throwing a hissy fit over that to this day. Which makes wonder what they will make of Limbaugh's call for a foreign power to invade the US and remove the Obama administration. Sounds like "Treason" to me.

Joe, honest to God, I'm going to tell you this: I feel like I'm watching the movie The Omen. Have you seen that? That fly almost flew into Obama's mouth in that speech in Egypt, and everything that's happened... The omens that are just -- the teleprompter committing suicide or dying or whatever it did; and massive unemployment; Hillary Clinton getting mad now, wanting to reassert herself over things.

I like that one of the signs of the apocalypse is Hillary Clinton wanting to reassert herself.

Incidentally, even if a serious call were made along those lines, it would be sedition, not reason. Treason is defined very explicitly in the constitution as giving active assistance of some kind to a foreign power in making war against the US.

12. I love Lyles' "Limbaugh Lie of the day" podcast

He is THE perfect "foil" for Limbaugh. In fact, he is just about as bombastic as Limbaugh and could credibly be called Limbaugh's "liberal opposite" IMHO- except for the fact that uses REASON and LOGIC to make his arguments UNLIKE Limbaugh.

In regards to that specific podcast, I just listened to it yesterday myself. Although I would hesitate to say that I'm *shocked* by anything Limbaugh says or does, his desire to see a foreign army- the Honduran junta specifically- come invade and overthrow our DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED government (with no allegations of fraud mind you. Obama/Biden won last year FAIR and SQUARE. it wasn't even close) seems rather out there on the edge of treason IMHO. I'd love to see Limbaugh raked over the coals for such remarks but, unfortunately, I know he probably won't- nor will he probably be getting any visits from Agent Mike (but he SHOULD IMHO).

It would be interesting, however, given the right's everlasting furor over "Hanoi Jane's" actions during the Vietnam War (which, as Lyles pointed out didn't include calls for an invasion of our country and overthrow of its elected government) and the "get over it" attitude the right had about our (justifiable) concerns about the legitimacy of Bush's (s)election in 2000, to hear what they would've had to say if anybody over here on the progressive side had actually called for an invasion of the US to overthrow Shrub/Darth Cheney back in 2000-2001 after their judicially-sanctioned "electoral coup".

Anybody willing to place any bets about the inestimable level of outrage, disgust, etc. they would express for such a person? I would be.
