...they claim he was born in my home state, Connecticut, but it seems rather suspect. After all, my parents and all my family don't recall that event. And I don't think Dubya ever produced it for the public when he was running for president. I certainly don't recall him doing so, and my memory is excellent so he apparently didn't. He could have been born in Nigeria or some place like that, because you know how lax immigration was back then. he could have been born in Nigeria, but his parents (whoever they are, because he doesn't look like his father or mother)could have brought him to Canada and then drove him over the border. There are other very plausible options, but this is the one that makes the most sense to me. After all, Canada is to blame for most of the world's ills.

I think Congress should investigate, don't you?

But the Bush comparison doesn't cut it. George Bush's parents were both US citizens and were legally married at the time of his birth, so if he had been born in Kenya then it wouldn't matter. The argument of the birthers is that Obama's mother was under age 21 and his father was a foreign national, and if he were born in Kenya that these two elements would render him a Kenyan under the law of the day. Of course on Saturdays and select saint's days the birthers also maintain that President Obama is actually an Indonesian so we really must take them seriously.

My actual point here ( I assume that you expected one) is that the "we haven't seen proof of Bush" argument would appear to go in support of that moronic Congressman who wants to pass a bill, "for future presidents to ensure that this issue doesn't come up again".
