Is Lou Dobbs a screaming asshole?
Edited on Wed Jul-22-09 05:52 PM by Cyrano
This is only my personal opinion. But yes he is.

I really don't watch CNN very often. But a couple of years back, I tuned in and saw Dobbs wearing an American flag lapel pin.

I figured I'd give him few minutes before judging him on some divisive symbol he was wearing on his jacket. But he then went on to talk about the evil that illegal immigrants bring down upon Americans.

I've occasionally spent a few minutes watching this creature for a moment or two now and then, but my opinion has not changed.

Are there any CNN watchers out there who can change the opinion I'm formed after watching this shallow, idiotic man for a brief period of time?

Be bold and just say "Lou Dobbs is a screaming asshole."

You'll get a ton of recs and it's what everyone else is thinking anyway.

12. Nope. I really haven't watched this man for more than ten to fifteen minutes
in total.

It may not be fair to form an opinion about someone after watching him for such a short period of time. But hey, life isn't fair.

To repeat, my brief exposure to this man leads me to the conclusion that he is a major league asshole.

As far as your opinion of my motive, other than saying you're mistaken, there's nothing I can do to influence, or change your belief.

4. He interrupts his guests, even the ones he agrees with,
but he's even worse with those he doesn't. He loves the sound of his own voice. Honestly, I don't know why he even has guests - they rarely get a chance to say more than a couple of words.

20. Okay, here's the answer.
During the Nixon years, ever one in his administration, and all Republicans started wearing American flag lapel pins.

The purpose of this had nothing to do with patriotism. It was a statement that those who wore those pins were "Real" Americans, and those who didn't were some kind of "hippie scum, commie, socialist, gay, northeastern establishment, bleeding heart liberals."

The definitions may have changed over the years, but only fools, the uninformed, or those who "just don't get it," are foolish enough to think that American flag lapel pins are anything other than a partisan statement. Democrats have started to wear them to counteract this despicable piece of Republican propaganda.

You won't find this on google, but anyone who has lived through the past few decades fully understands how the Republicans have tried to "steal" the American flag as their own. And it all started with the Nixon era flag lapel pins.

24. I was an adult in the Nixon years so I remember that well. I still
don't think a flag lapelpin displays anything other than patriotism, which I certainly have no problem with.

Or maybe it's just a fashion statement that has become meaningless, like The Happy Face or The Peace Symbol.

32. Coming soon to Fox News Channel!
Show you are REALLY proud of your country (and not a NAZI, terrorist, commie) by throwing away your individual identity and joining FOX NATION.

In Fox Nation, every one is referred to by their new name: AMERICA. Flag pins are for queeros and Mexicans.

President Obama wears one. Is that "divisive?"

But that was the only issue I ever agreed with Dobbs on. When he showed his racist character about immigrants, I quit watching him.

15. Yes, Dobbs is awful..
About as xenophobic as Pat Buchanan, and revolting in every way.

Sad to say, lots of people here loved Dobbs when he was slamming the Bush administration. I guess the ole' saying stands for many - "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Dobbs is just flat out disgusting.
