Another $23 Quadrillion debit card charge?
:wtf:

Buying a Train Ticket, and Being Taken for a $23 Quadrillion Ride

Lydia Alcock doesn’t seem like the kind of kid who would run up a $23 quadrillion bill on her Visa Buxx card.

<snip>

And, yet, when Ms. Alcock clicked on her account earlier this month, there it was: $23,148,855,308,184,500. Plus a $20 negative balance fee from Wachovia Bank, which under the circumstances, seemed pretty reasonable.

2. So does Wachovia show $23,148,855,308,184,500 due it as an asset
on their balance sheet and not have to have as much cash somehow because of this? If you read the article, that figure has been reported multiple times as a debt owed in different accounts, but it doesn't make clear if it was all the same time frame.

5. That's backward. It'd be a receivable which is considered an asset.
If it were real (or claimed) it'd -raise- their tax liability.
;-)

6. Even if it wasn't paid?
What if the person with the debt filed for bankruptcy... then it would be a loss for the company, right?
