SFgate.com We've got the first, exclusive look at the city's video tape from Saturday's big Muni Metro crash.
More than 40 people were injured when a Metro light rail train slammed into the rear of a second train parked at the West Portal Station. The driver of the train has said he blacked out before the crash. He had just switched from automatic mode to manual shortly before.
The video - shot from cameras mounted at the station platform - shows both the high-impact crash and the response afterward by paramedics and other emergency crews. It does not clearly show the driver.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Simply amazing footage.. One of the comments was interesting. Had that light rail train not hit the other, it most likely would have barreled out of the station, and run over a few pedestrians as well as smashed into a few automobiles. There could have easily been deaths in this accident.
