I got hit with the question of whether I thought a woman was qualified to be president

I answered that there was no doubt in my mind that either my mother, my wife, or either of my two grown daughters would have done a much better job then Bush has as president over the past six years.

The man who raised the question has two intelligent grown daughters of his own. I know them both. He thought about what I said for a moment and then changed the subject.

That shit doesn't even enter my mind when I think about candidates--that or race. I think I'm fairly representative of my peers, and I hope most Americans. My freshman students seem to consider it a non-issue, for the most part, so maybe that type will indeed be "dying out soon" in one way or another.

10. I wish there was some way to know the percentage of

voters - men and women - who would never admit to a pollster that they wouldn't vote for a woman for President, but when push came to shove in the privacy of the booth, would vote for a man based on gender alone. That worries me more than anything about Hillary. I'm not sure we've progressed enough as a nation to elect a woman - any woman - President.

She is 37, seemingly smart, single, independent, strong...yet I heard her say to someone that she doesn't think "we" are ready for a woman president.

I was shocked and disagreed strongly.

But maybe she is just reflecting the reality of our backward country. I mean, Golda Maier, Margaret Thatcher, et al., but not here?

If she is right, I am sick, but even if she is right, I refuse to iterate the sentiment.

1. Tells all the red state bumpkins and red state reporters
that in responding to a foreigh policy crisis, or threat
from a hostile power she will repair to her prayer closet and
get God's direction before she acts.

(Rest assured she will be asked that question
in the debates-if not before.)

2. She Reminds the bible thumpers that a woman (Deborah) Judged Ancient Israel
and led them \during the age of the judges. (see bible book of Judges-(its in the
old testament, Hillar) LOL!

3.She postures in a hard line manner on foreign policy in a credible manner-which
will be hard to pull off.
