6. I'm so surprised
after that barn storming speech by Obama defending 'the gays' he didn't get an impressive endorsement list like Edwards!

Oh wait! He basically said the same thing Hillary said.

Now why is that ALWAYS overlooked around here?

10. I'm open for any Democrat that's runing.
My pick right now is Hillary. I love Edwards AND Obama.

I just get sick of all the Hillary bashing (and I know you didn't do that here).

Hillary could cure cancer and the bashers would say "Oh she just did that for politcal reasons".

12. They'll let others decide if being gay is immoral.
:eyes: Good on Edwards. He really is laying the groundwork of being the true populist candidate. I haven't read the cover article About Clinton and Obama from the Advocate yet (my friend left it for me to read this last weekend) but it looks like Edwards is becoming the front runner for GLBT rights.

3. Edwards is really laying the groundwork - who says experience should be ignored?
He's a far better primary candidate now than he was in 2003. That makes him a much more plausible presidential candidate, too.

The further he keeps himself from the Bush family and their secrecy and privilege, the more likely he'll climb on my list.

15. Most endorsements are for show and have little actual effect on how most people vote.
But this is a biggie, and a great step for Edwards.See what you get when you actually take a strong position on something? Good for John.

And btw-be honest now,how many were ready to attack based on just my subject line?

20. Agreed. Whether it helps elect him or not...
...he is taking a stand on the most important civil rights issue of the day. I'm damn sick of Publicans using homophobia to gain and hold power. Time to call it what it is: Bigotry.
