Anyone want to retract their bullshit comments about KO now?
And how he was just another corporate whore and sellout for being "muzzled" on criticizing Bill Oreilly? Every since I started reading all the hyperbolic panic-rage here about three or so weeks ago, about how Keith participated in a deal with corporate masters GE and Newscorp to stop criticizing Bill O (or was it all of fox news?) on the air, I've watched Keith every night. Bill O has been a regular topic on worst persons in that time. Tonight, if you watched, was a huge two and a half minute rip into Bill O as #1 worst person for the night.

1. I love his goofy voices. Tonight my favorite line came from
Iglesias when he said, "The oozing pus of politics."

7. Just like they hated Cool Hand Luke when it looked like Ol' Captain had broken him.
And rejoiced when he drove away in a dump truck after removing the keys from all the other vehicles.

8. Glenn Greenwald Looking Silly

And I have a feeling that he didn't do it in just, say, 100 words, either.

Go, Keith. SOME of us believed in you all along! :D

11. I was one of those people
Anyone with half a brain cell could see that the NY Times story was B.S. If Keith were really being muzzled by his "corporate masters", he would've been fired the day after he returned from vacation, for tearing into Fox and Billo the way he did that Monday. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is so indispensible, that he could get away with something like that, once given an edict to keep quiet.

12. gee, you don't suppose he heard that he got found out
and then tore into Billo to cover his tracks do you?

Nah, how could he possibly have found out? Was this posted publicly or something?

The speech he made about laying off of Billo is a matter of record. Did he say why he was back-tracking on that pledge?

13. Yup. The moratorium ended when it was reported.
But apparently, the fact he resumed O'Reilly-bashing when the story came out is 'evidence' the story was untrue. Hmmm.

Actually, how does this renewal of the attacks on O'Reilly (which are fine with me of course) jive with his initial claim that he was refraining based on some kind of moral principle re: the Tiller murder? If anything, it undermines that story.

16. That's categorically false.
It is true that Keith said he'd "retire the name" of Bill from the program. But what is false is that he actually did that.

I watch KO almost every night - after declaring his "moratorium" he went right back to having Bill O as worst person in the world. I watched the episode.

What happened after his so-called moratorium was that he still talked about Bill, and expanded to focus even more time on Glen Beck and other clowns at what he is calling "cluster FOX"

There was simply never a lag in his criticisms. Period.

But of course, the idiot choir has spoken.

His initial "claim" by the way, was that perhaps it was better to take the high road. What does it do to that story? It shows that its hard to take the high road! :)

19. Don't call me an idiot, please.
I watch him every night, too. And as I recall, he switched from Bill to Rush as his main target. I can't say for sure that he stopped mentioning O'Reilly altogether, but there was a lag. Sorry, but I was there too.

And of course, if there was no lag, then what was he doing making a big deal of retiring the O'Reilly caricature? He said he was done, that Tiller's death made it too serious, something like that. And you're saying he went right back to it? I don't think that story reflects better on him than the NYT story.

Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, but he doesn't walk on water.

20. You can't say for sure, then don't say anything.
Apparently you aren't aware that this isn't the first time he's promised to quit talking about Bill O, only to be unsuccessful in doing so... what does that tell us? I dunno... maybe that its hard not to comment on Bill O's stupidity?

If you see yourself as part of the idiot choir, that's your call not mine. But there is an idiot choir, and that choir does like to jump to hyper reactionary conclusions.

21. Okay buddy.
I didn't realize you two were so close. I happen to remember he said he was retiring O'Reilly, and then pretty much everything he did was about Rush for days at least. You know, they archive the "Worst persons" clips at the website, why don't you go find the clip you were talking about "right after" he made that statement, and prove to me how wrong I am?

17. He never backtracked - because he never "tracked" in the first place.
He commented that maybe it was time to give the Bill O bashing a rest, which FRANKLY I'd be happy to see him do, because even I get tired of it. But then he never did. I watch his show every damn night and there were mentions of beck, fox, and bill o as per usual.

By the way, this isn't the first time Keith has said he's going to stop the feud with Bill O and/or Fox. He just never can do it. Those of us who are more long time listeners know this.

14. The only thing I've hammered KO on is not voting and worse bragging on it
under the highly bullshit cover of his journalistic integrity or whatever. Which is pure asshatery at best, I like Keith but he is far from some paragon of neutrality.

That was some straight up smug and lame bullshit.

Anyone who watched just the intro into his program would have no doubt as to his political affiliation.

I agree that his claims of journalistic integrity are total bullshit.
