Jones Soda lays off 27% of workers

Jones Soda will lay off 27 percent of its work force this month, bringing its head count to 43, the Seattle-based soda company said in a securities filing today. Though it didn't say how many jobs were cut, the percentage would indicate 16 people are being laid off.

The company had already cut its work force in half over the past year.

A Jones filing earlier this week said there is "substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern."
