Did anyone see the Perseid meteor shower last night or tonight?

I saw three in about 10-15 minutes. They were right above the handle of the Big Dipper. They lasted for a half-second or less...then they were gone. I watched for another 30-40 minutes and did not see another.

I wondered what they meant? Was it someone dear that is no longer with us just saying "hello"??

4. Raining here; for once in my life, too much rain.

How can this be? The Perseids are my big happy thing every summer. Turtles on the beach, shooting stars zipping down, all is well.


We need the rain but Dang it. Dang it. Phooey.

5. Too humid & hazy here with too many mosquitoes.

It's 73 out with near 100% humidity - I walked outside for a minute and feel like I was hosed down. I'll watch for the meteor showers in the fall but the summer ones are just miserable.

7. Raining and clouded over yet again

All my life when I have tried to see the meteor shower, it has been shitty out.

Oh well.

10. I haven't seen a decent Perseid meteor shower where I live in years.

I saw nothing last night and by the hours before dawn it had fogged up. I am still not hopeful because with the warm weather and being near water it will probably fog up again.

11. Ihave a good area to watch them but have not had a clear sky.

Rain, thunderstorms, clouds all night all week.
