Cheney Uncloaks His Frustration With Bush
'Statute of Limitations Has Expired' on Many Secrets, Former Vice President Says

After years of praising George W. Bush as a man of resolve, former vice president Richard B. Cheney now hints at a less flattering opinion of him. (By Roger L Wollenberg Via Bloomberg News)

1. What an evil, sorry, revolting fuck of a human being this man is.
I can't find one redeeming quality in him. Except maybe his love for his family...and even THAT sounds more like a business deal than genuine love. This man's legacy will be as a personification of all things wrong with the human race.

2. There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile,
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

4. This picture, a "favorite" of mine, says so much.
Nasty, slimy, evil, selfish, mean, uncaring and disrespectful. This was at Auschwitz, I think.
Not even Lynne wants to see him, she is covering the pertinent eye.

3. I think this is a very good thing, and I wouldn't call it 'dumping on bush'
I'd very much like to understand that power structure and if it reveals the Chimp as more or less the childish idiot than I see him, so be it.

5. Transparency is gov't is always a good thing,
who knew it would be 3 years after the fact.

I'd be very interested to see if Bart Gelman would do an editorial on reconciling his article vs. his book he did on Cheney.

I'm going to have to re-read this when I get more time, but I got a sense from his article that was slightly different from the tone I got from his book. The tone I got from Angler was that Cheney, being the professional manager he was, prided himself on his ability to manage information and issues that the President should handle vs. those he "chose" for himself to handle. His power came from that management ability. His control over the administration came from that.

I got a sense from the article that Cheney just viewed himself as just another cog in the wheel, albeit a strong cog. He's now willing to re-write history to CYA.

8. Hmm, wondering if that should really read "Statue of LImitations Hasn't Expired
On Enough Secrets"? Otherwise, why is Cheney flopping around like a fish out of water? Wonder what he's thinking about the Miers/Rove testimony that's just become public? Because if Rove is feeling the heat, the only trick that could possibly save his sorry ass is to offer up someone "bigger"... hmm, now who could that be?
