2. The article doesn't go nearly far enough, IMO. It assumes that the reader

is rational and won't be scared by the idea of an "end of life consultation."

What this means is that if a doctor has to spend time explaining to a patient what the blanks are for on a living will, and what the various medical interventions are that might or might not be chosen, then he can bill Medicare for the time he spent answering the patient's questions. Big deal.
