NO on North American Union - Open Letter to Congressman Young...
I hope you will cosponsor H.Con.Res. 40 to oppose a North American Union.

A North American Union would link the governments of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The White House has been using a quietly-agreed-upon compact, behind the backs of the citizens of all 3 countries involved in this GLOBALIST plot, called the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), which was signed by those three countries in 2005, to push us OBLIOUVIOUSLY in that direction. Why SPP doesn't need congressional approval or any involvement whatsoever of the people, OR THEIR REPRESENTATIVES, to see if they are even remotely interested in any part of this HIDDEN, CONCEALED, COVERED UP AND BURIED from the sight, attention and approval of any of the MILLIONS of people involved, is beyond belief. I BELIEVE THESE ACTIONS ARE AN ACT OF TREASON! On the parts of all 3 countries leaders AND THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR HIDDEN AGENDA.

Here is YOUR opportunity to give voice to the sea of outrage over the loss of U.S. sovereignty and backroom deals between unscrupulous, deceitful, corrupt, dishonest and fraudulent PARASITES that have no place in any government in any nation on this planet! I urge you to not only cosponsor this important resolution, but to also introduce and sponsor some type of action condemning these PARASITES and their corrupt administrations.

When finding out about these backroom deals, it becomes quite clear why President Bush does NOTHING AT ALL TO SECURE THE BORDER WITH MEXICO!...

4. Here's an article about the secret meeting in Banff
Top secret: Banff security meeting attracted U.S., Mexico officials

A North American security meeting was secretly held in Banff last week, attracting high-profile officials from the United States, Mexico and Canada.

snip

Mel Hurtig, author and founder of the Council of Canadians, obtained internal documents about the Sept. 12-14 forum revealing that the gathering was called Continental Prosperity in the New Security Environment.

Rumsfeld was slated to be a keynote speaker and topics on the agenda included North American energy strategy and security co-operation.

"We're talking about such an important thing, we're talking about the integration of Canada into the United States. For them to hold this meeting in secret and to make every effort to avoid anybody learning about it, right away you've got to be hugely concerned," Hurtig said.

Lou Dobbs did a piece about this North American Union last week, I was glad to see it being talked about, finally.

11. At this point, it is all being done "behind closed doors" in
all three countries and, when questioned about it, those involve say it is merely trade and border issues but it goes much further than that.

I believe you are correct in your question re North American EU, that is certainly how I see it.

20. Some western EU countries want to opt out of the EU as its eastern edge meets Asia's
Turkish bridge and Turkeys own eagerness to join.
imo, Turkey wants to be the part time temp employment service to the dwindling Anglo populations retirement packages. Low cost Servitude in the service sector so to speak.
But I can't recall why some countries want out of the EU.

18. LOL, what the CBC article and Lou Dobbs were covering was
was the secrecy surrounding the meeting, that WAS the focus of the article. As you can see, if you scroll down, there are other articles on the North American Union.

North American Union describes the intent behind those involved in the conference and in other related activities and, as such, surely you would not expect those who wish the Union to actually name it such that their intent would be clear. This is the same group who gave you names like "The Clean Air Act" and "No Child Left Behind".

I am surprised, given the info that George Shultz, Rumsfeld, etc, are involved in this, your suspicions aren't aroused, but, hey, go figure.

Mike,

Thanks for the copy of your letter. I am Canadian but I join with you in this fight against this deceitful union.

Here is what I said.
"I am a Canadian and will fight and stand on guard for my Canada. There is no way that I want my country to be part of a Union with a country that has outlawed Habeas Corpus, advocates torture and attacking sovereign countries without just reasons.

I am organizing at this moment to stop this deceitful North American Union wanted by the elitist and the big corporations to the detriment of the rights and liberties of the countries involved.

You want to see a Canadians stand up and fight? You will on this issue."

15. The Council of Canadians organization is doing work on this
Best-selling author Maude Barlow and national chairperson for the Council of Canadians is in Montreal today to speak at l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) about the newly updated French edition of her book on Canada-U.S. relations, Dormir avec l’éléphant.

Barlow’s book calls for an end to the integration of Canada's foreign, defence and trade policies with those of George Bush's America. Despite the deep unpopularity of President Bush in this country, the Harper government has been increasingly aligning Canadian domestic and foreign policies with those of the Bush administration.

Barlow argues that Canada is at risk of losing what has been acquired through decades of democratic progress. “The federal government has failed to listen to Canadians and has instead taken its direction from big business lobby groups,” says Barlow.

As Canada prepares to host the next "Security and Prosperity Partnership" summit with the leaders of Mexico and the U.S., Barlow provides Canadians with crucial information about the fateful impacts of the decisions being made at these closed-door meetings to further the process of deep integration.

Broken Record
Lou Dobbs' daily 'Broken Borders' CNN segment has focused on immigration for years.

But there's one issue Dobbs just won't take on.

By Heidi Beirich and Mark Potok

.... For more than two years now, Dobbs has served up a populist approach to immigration on nightly segments of his newscast entitled "Broken Borders." He has relentlessly covered the issue, although hardly from a traditional news perspective -- Dobbs favors clamping down on illegal immigration, and his "reporting" never fails to make that clear. He has covered the same issues, and the same anti-immigration leaders, time after time after time. In recent months, Dobbs has run countless upbeat reports on the "citizen border patrols" that have sprung up around the country since last April's Minuteman Project, a paramilitary effort to seal the Arizona border.

But there's one thing Lou Dobbs won't do. No matter what others report about the movement, Dobbs has failed to present mounting and persistent evidence of anti-Hispanic racism in anti-immigration groups and citizen border patrols. ....

Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America

http://www.spp.gov/myths_vs_facts.asp Text
Myth vs. Fact
Myth: The SPP was an agreement signed by Presidents Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in Waco, TX, on March 23, 2005.

Fact: The SPP is a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries. The SPP is not an agreement nor is it a treaty. In fact, no agreement was ever signed.

Myth: The SPP is a movement to merge the United States, Mexico, and Canada into a North American Union and establish a common currency.

Fact: The cooperative efforts under the SPP, which can be found in detail at www.spp.gov, seek to make the United States, Canada and Mexico open to legitimate trade and closed to terrorism and crime. It does not change our courts or legislative processes and respects the sovereignty of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The SPP in no way, shape or form considers the creation of a European Union-like structure or a common currency. The SPP does not attempt to modify our sovereignty or currency or change the American system of government designed by our Founding Fathers. ....more

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
.... Canadian criticism has also been directed at the North American Competitiveness Council (NACC), a committee made up of 10 CEOs each from Mexico, the United States and Canada, which has been asked to reduce the over 300 recommendations in the SPP down to about 30 achievable goals. NACC members include CEOs from Wal-Mart, Chevron, Lockheed Martin, FedEx, General Electric and Ford, among others. Of the ten Canadian CEOs on the NACC, nine are members of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, the driving force behind the North American Free Trade Agreement, and the Canadian representative on the trinational Task Force on the Future of North America, whose recommendations led to the creation of the SPP.

The NACC will meet with government reps from all three countries to discuss their proposals in September 2006.

North American Union to Replace USA?

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted May 19, 2006

.... President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.

The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union: ....

Bush Administration Quietly Plans NAFTA Super Highway

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted Jun 12, 2006

.... A good reason Bush does not want to secure the border with Mexico may be that the administration is trying to create express lanes for Mexican trucks to bring containers with cheap Far East goods into the heart of the U.S., all without the involvement of any U.S. union workers on the docks or in the trucks.

Mr. Corsi is the author of several books, including "Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry" (along with John O'Neill), "Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil" (along with Craig R. Smith), and "Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians." He is a frequent guest on the G. Gordon Liddy radio show. He will soon co-author a new book with Jim Gilchrist on the Minuteman Project.

North American Union Would Trump U.S. Supreme Court

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted Jun 19, 2006

The Bush Administration is pushing to create a North American Union out of the work on-going in the Department of Commerce under the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America in the NAFTA office headed by Geri Word. A key part of the plan is to expand the NAFTA tribunals into a North American Union court system that would have supremacy over all U.S. law, even over the U.S. Supreme Court, in any matter related to the trilateral political and economic integration of the United States, Canada and Mexico. ....

22. Hmmm, can I assume by your post that you are comfortable
knowing Rumsfeld, Shultz, etc, are deep into this and with the involvement of the following:

"NACC members include CEOs from Wal-Mart, Chevron, Lockheed Martin, FedEx, General Electric and Ford, among others. Of the ten Canadian CEOs on the NACC, nine are members of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, the driving force behind the North American Free Trade Agreement, and the Canadian representative on the trinational Task Force on the Future of North America, whose recommendations led to the creation of the SPP."

given these companies have been such responsible corporate entities to date.

As to Corsi, no argument there and if he were the only one out there raising the alarm as opposed to others with actual credibility, I would not give this a second look.

As to Lou Dobbs, his obsession with the Mexican border and "illegals" is but one of his focuses, his other is on the decimation of the middle class due to the policies of the bush admin. Can I assume you also disagree with his position on the decimation of the middle class?
